The Write With Community calendar is the central source for literary events on the South Coast of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Events listed include poetry readings, book launches, writing workshops, grant-writing sessions, author talks, open mics, anthology celebrations, and virtual drop-in writing sessions. Venues span the region — the New Bedford Whaling Museum, Mattapoisett Free Public Library, Fall River Public Library, Davoll's General Store, Moby Dick Brewing Co., and online via Zoom. Anyone in the regional literary community can submit an event to the calendar.

Grant Writing Workshop
Interested in getting funding for your project? Not quite sure how to present your incredible idea?
Come to a hands-on grant writing workshop to analyze what makes a great grant and start planning for success!
This two-hour workshop will help participants learn how to shape their project descriptions, what components to focus on, and how to read their own drafts like a grant reader. Come with a specific project idea or choose from sample ones provided in the workshop.

She Maps the World: Poetry by Women
A three-gallery “progressing poetry” experience in honor of Women’s History Month
Experience poetry in a new way as you move through three museum galleries, listening to six local women poets share original work inspired by the natural world, whales, history, family, and the sea. This welcoming, come-and-go experience encourages audiences to listen, reflect, and explore at their own pace.

Writing at Night Drop-In: A Virtual Writing Session
Writing at Night Drop-In (Online) with Corey Nuffer of Write with Community, Inc.
Close out your week in the quiet company of writers. This virtual drop-in session offers dedicated, focused writing time in a supportive online community. Writers of all levels are welcome — bring a work-in-progress, a journal, or simply a desire to write.
Join us for one session or attend all three Friday evenings on Zoom.
